Chag Sameach everyone! Purim has finally arrived, and it is busy! I’m always putting the finishing touches on my Purim packages, also known as Mishloach Manot. If you haven’t guessed from my Mexican Hot Chocolate Hamantaschen, and Piñata Cookies, we chose a Fiesta theme this year! Below you'll find the third addition, which were delicious Churro Bites. I felt these were a great mini dessert to tie my theme together, and let's face it, who doesn't love that classic cinnamon sugar treat?!
Each year, I like to choose a fun theme for my Mishloach Manot, and this year I had a ton of fun with our fiesta theme. As a kid, I have great memories of giving out these elaborate baskets with my mom. We would choose some elaborate theme, and then we would spend days getting them ready and perfect! Continuing in her footsteps, I created the Mishloach Manot you see below.
In the picture above and below, you see that I used a colorful chip bowl to hold everything. I like to use a vessel that is practical and can get use after the holiday. With this in mind, I figured this bowl would be perfect! In the bowl you'll see a mini bag of tortilla chips, Piñata Cookies, my Mexican Hot Chocolate Hamantaschen, Churro bites (listed below), and a mini mason jar filled with homemade salsa! We added a little note in there, and tied the entire thing together with cellophane.
So now that you see the entire thing together, let's talk about these Churro Bites! Churro's are one of those guilty pleasure treats that are in imminent danger when I come around. They're easy to just mindlessly snack on, so I end up eating way more than I signed up for! These Churro Bite's found in my Mishloach Manot are baked, so they don't have the greasy factor associated with a typical churro. Hope you enjoy!
